TravelUpdate

Hello all,

It is Saturday night at 10pm Argentina time...9:00 at home.  I (Eric) am sitting at an old PC in our hotel. It is slower than the Tandy 2000 I had like 15 years

ago.  I stink, bad.  Thankfully Kaye remembered to pack me a trash bag for my dirty clothes.  My roommates will thank her.

So here is what has happened...

We had smooth flights from Cincy to Miami to Buenos Aires.  Most of us got 5 hours of sleep on the red eye flight.  I love Tylenol pm, though I would not admit to an addiction to it. The American flight group arrived at about the same time as the United flight group.  Great timing.  All of our bags and sound gear made it! Huge answered prayer.  We boarded buses and drove thirty minutes to our hotel. We threw our bags into the room and walked two blocks to eat.  Great beef.   Everyone liked it as far as I could tell...We then came back and crashed for two hours before orientation.  It was intense sleep.  I woke up five minutes before our leaders meeting.  An hour later we had a whole group orientation.

Now the next four days will be nonstop ministry.  So we met as a group with the Argentinean church planting leaders.  It was a huge blessing to see their

Passion for God and people.  Our students are already bonding with them.  They have remarkable stories of how god is at work.  They are staying with us at the hotel and as they say "are going to work us nonstop the next four days... Thursday and Friday will be a bit slower.

After the big orientation, our site teams met with their translators, Argentinean leaders, and our leaders.  They spent a good bit of time talking about tomorrow. Our school teams have been funneled into the sites because school teachers are striking and school is out.  They showed great flexibility.

We then ate a late supper and i snuck away to type this.

There is some bad news to report, but it is becoming good.  We have two people who are sick. Heather Sapp could not board the plane in Miami because her head

was hurting very badly.  Natalie Sims stayed with her and they will be arriving in the morning. They are in the air now.  Amanda Narloch endured a miserable flight with her pleurisy (sp?)...her lungs are hurting her a lot.  She is here and the hotel doctor gave her a shot.  She is going to rest tomorrow.  Please pray for her to have a speedy recovery!  It is good to know that each hotel here is required to have a hotel doctor. Do please pray for our health and strength.  This trip is so short and we want to make a big impact.

The weather is beautiful, a BIGTIME answered prayer.  We need good weather to maximize ministry opportunity outdoors.

Probably the best thing thus far is seeing how excited the church leaders are that we are here. Their churches have been praying for us for months.  We are

truly an answer to someone’s prayers.  It is humbling and a great honor to be here.

tomorrow our groups will be leading worship and doing evangelistic ministry outdoors. pray that many will come to know the Lord. i am very excited...

four of our high school guys are preaching tomorrow...pray for sensor Jacob, Eric Tillis, Jay Mosser, and Josh Meredith.  We are blessed to have Godly young men like these who have God's hand clearly upon them.

Well, I think I am going to take a shower before this stench becomes permanent!

I love you all and beg you to pray like crazy this week. Fast if God leads you to. The success of this trip will be in direct proportion to the prayers offered to God for this trip.  Join us.

I plan to update tomorrow night with all that happens.

in Christ
